However, it has come to light that we did not receive an e-mail from a contact recently (a computer glich - which happens!). and we will send you a booking form and details of how and when to pay.
We offer several on- and off-site activities and advice. Guests are welcome to join in, but are under absolutely no pressure to do so! Activities are based upon our own hobbies and areas of knowledge and are subject to our availability and the weather. Many previous guests have very much appreciated this facet to our service.
Wildlife
  • Detailed information about the best local wildlife sites;
  • On-site moth-trapping (don't dismiss moths as small brown things - you'll be amazed!)

Dogs - all dogs on-site must be kept under strict supervision and on a lead when going to and from the car or front gate. We also apply this rule to our own, highly-trained dogs when we have guests, until they have all met and been walkies together. Guests with and without dogs have always got-along very well in the 9 years since we opened - for this very reason. Each gite has its own private garden (fenced and screened between the gites) where the dogs can be free and there are endless opportunities for walks (maps provided, see Dogs Welcome page for video) just outside the gate. There is also a large, fenced and gated area for guests to exercise their dogs in (off-lead) - this area has a Flyball fun-run and a special non-slip dog paddling pool (hot weather only). We now offer residential dog training courses with Elaine IMDT - those on the course will also have access to some basic agility equipment for practice between lessons. Here is the link to the Residential Dog Training Course page

  • Advice on beaches where dogs are permitted - all year round;
  • Detailed local walks (many from the door-step of the gite - our dogs often take a swim in the river en-route);
  • Agility and doggy dancing displays - on-site (featuring Gracie, Haïyla, Daisy and Fran and sometimes Harry the cat! Cass is beginning to learn stuff so she can join in);
  • If you compete in agility already, we will arrange for you to compete on-site with Valor. Two full courses at your level, on-site (a small entry fee applies).

    Elaine is now a fully registered Force-free Professional Dog Trainer : Full Member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (assessed by Nando Brown and Steve Mann). Certificat de Capacité No. 56-313 awarded by the Prefet du Morbihan. We offer residential dog training courses. Elaine competed at national level in agility in France and is a member of the Pays de La Loire Regional Agility Team 2011. She has also done many displays with our dogs (including the youngest - from when she was just 5 months!) - these displays include events for local dignatories, dog clubs and local primary schools. Dogs under 18 months and very large dogs will have restricted use of the equipment for obvious reasons. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that their dog is fit to take part and has no underlying health problems which would be aggravated by such exercise.
    All dogs visiting from outside France require the PETS scheme passport to enter France. See details on our Home Page and other pages. This information is intended as general advice only - please see your vet for professional and up-to-date advice regarding the scheme. From 1st January, 2012 the only requirement for re-entry into the UK will be a rabies vaccination and a 21 day waiting period (no blood test) - there will no longer be a requirement for flea/tick treatment before re-entering the UK - a worming treatment is necessary between 1 and 5 days of re-entry into the UK. We can arrange this for you with our own vets and you can even bring your own wormer with you to save money.
